Hi! I’m Hannah, and welcome to AM I IN THE COUNTRY. The name started as a joke but pretty much captures my love for exploring the world and tendency to be out of the country A LOT. Even when I had a full-time job as a CPA, I always found a way to squeeze in adventures — a 4-day trip to Japan? Brazil? Iceland?! WHY NOT!

Raised by archaeologist parents, travel and discovery have been part of my DNA from the start. Over the years, I’ve wandered through 45+ countries, often solo, and have continually sought out amazing places and experiences.

Whether standing in awe at Machu Picchu, chasing the Northern Lights around Iceland’s Ring Road, or hiking the active volcano Acatenango in Guatemala, each adventure has been unforgettable.
